Day 6, 29/04/08

Another cold day...blackout occurred not soon after we woke up, turned out my mother caused it, something to do with the toaster, them and their bright ideas. Lol. At least noone knew it was her who caused it. =P The blackout lasted quite awhile, first time i thought it was bad to live on the highest, fifth floor. Lol. After breakfas, we went to Seine River, aka town, deciding to visit The Grand Palais, where Louis the 16th and Maria Antoinnette (you might be more familiar with this name, featured in the Addams family, the doll that kept getting beheaded by Wednesday and Pugsley). She was also the last queen of France (who famously said ( i misquote ) "let them eat cake") and hence her husband the last king. The French Revolution had happened and France had become a Republic. The palaces are grand. Versailles (pronounced ver-sai) built by Napoleon the 3rd, the child-king, or was it the 4th. >.<

The Grand Palais, the Louvre (pronounced looooof), that glass dome palace to show off the technological advances of the French by making a building (huge building) out of glass, metal and stone. I realized, the French were/are (don't know) proud people. Arc of Triumph, the tall column built out of molten metal from 106 cannons captured from their enemies. Eiffel Tower, the glass domed palace and such are all to show off something or another. Lol.

Anyway, the museum was closed to public for today, as we could not understand French, various directions pointers led us to another entrance, to their science museum. Lol.

It was filled with live exhibits. I know a lot about ants now than i did! =P Lunched at a nearby restaurant, walked to Seine (pronounced sign) and took a cruise. I froze. >.< But it was lovely. =D

The romantic dinner they have to offer as a service, any girl who gets that is sure lucky. >.< Must cost a bomb as well. Lol. After that, went to another part of town. didn't get to shop much, but i confirmed, LV is cheaper here. Though i did not get anything and i am regretting it a little bit now. But i <3 my CK wallet. Hee. Yes yes, the white Gucci one is <3 too. Lol. LV black series is <3<3 too. Lol. Saw a lovely charm bracelet, just the bracelet without charms, after tax refund is Euros 2024. Lol. Each charm roughly costs Euros 800. Lol. >.< My first big trip paid by money i earn would be budget everything and branded everything else. Lol. =P

Leaving for Interlaken tomorrow morning. So i'd better sleep soon. Anyway we ate and returned to the hotel soon after. My sis and dad got lost and hailed a free cab. Police Car. Lol. And they were a street away from the hotel. Lol.

Oh! I got a sms from my baby! Wheee. Too expensive to reply though. >.< I miss you honey. >.< It would have been sheer bliss to cruise down Seine with you. More so at night. You'll keep me warm no? xD
