Sabah, Tawau, Mabul
2010-04-26, 6:45 p.m.

This is as usual, way overdue! Too many things to talk about...so let's do it the usual way, as chronological as i can!

Right after the submission of my fyp, it was a straight car ride (with a few detours) to muar! One of my favourite place in the world, no matter how much I've traveled. =D That was, early April. Then we (my aunt and i) suddenly decided to book a flight to Sabah and to stay there for 5 days! That was just last week, from Monday to Friday. As we've all know, it's better to go on trips with a guy, the one who gets to carry all the heavier stuff, so i suggested my cousin who's still waiting for uni to start. So off we went! With the help of GPS we made it smoothly to KLIA, LCCT. It's the second time i was taking budget airlines, and was still kinda confused over how things worked (as compared to say SIA). Afternoon flight, arrived at Sabah, Tawau in the evening. Off to check in at the hotel we booked, then to a sumptuous seafood dinner. How much can 5 people eat? Not a lot certainly, but with prawns and fish and crabs and it only came up to RM 131! Cheap. =D

The next morning, we took an hour and a half car ride to Semporna, a port city in Sabah, then a 45 mins exciting speed boat ride to the island Mabul. The next 2.5 days were spent there! We lived on the sea, and we kept going down to snorkle, and one trip to dive. The reefs were beautiful, and so many different colourful fishes! We also went island Sipadan on the 3rd day, and caught sight of many turtles, and even bigger fishes. It was a hot sticky salty day. Had 6 meals of honeydew. =P Enjoyed it so much, i doubt I'll be asking my mother to buy any home for now. Met the agent, Allister who's a scuba instructor on the island with his family, his cute 5 months old daughter was donned a bikini then put in the sea with a float. At 5 months old! Chou kawaii! The scuba instructor who led us was Rika, a true Japanese, and it was exciting being able to converse a little with her in Japanese. It certainly reinforced my desire to get a license. =P After getting sun-burnt pretty badly, it was time to return to city. Friday 6:35pm was our flight, and thus we spent the whole day being brought around Tawau, and we picked up 25 kg worth of chocolate powder. Talk about business while on holidays. xD We also climbed a mountain and brought worms-ish stuff back, courtesy of my curious mother. That said, this is clearly is very abbreviated version of my trip. And since my sis couldn't go with us this time round because of school, my mum's already planning for a similar trip when my sis Os are over. ;) Looking forward to going back there!

Other than that, i'm back in Singapore this time round to do my fyp presentation, this Friday. Then i'm off to muar again! Booked my FTT, trying to get more information on the job i think I'll do once i get back from China in June. It's a busy year, but it's been happy. Although I've been having emo moments due to some family related issues. On the whole, it's been good, and I've learnt many things and i know there's more to learn. Cheers! I hope you're having a good year too!
